Welcome to the Humboldt Advent Calendar!

The Humboldt-Institut is very happy to announce the Humboldt Advent Calendar’s twelfth season with a chance to win a two-week German language course every week! Starting on December 1, each day a new door of our Advent Calendar opens up. The last door opens on December 22.

How it works:

  1. Please click on the door of the current day. A new internal window will open.
Note that doors of past or future days cannot be opened.
  2. Please answer the question of the day. Sometimes there are hints to solve a question, e.g. a link to another page with relevant information to find the answer.
  3. Please register with your first name, family name, age, native country and email address.
We need that information to inform you in case that you will win a prize. All participants of each day in the respective week enter the draw of the weekly prizes. If you participate daily, you’ll enhance your chances to win a prize.
  4. Enter the validation code at the bottom of the internal window and submit your data.
  5. In case you forgot to fill out something you will receive an error message immediately. In that case please correct your information.

If all boxes are filled out correctly you will receive a confirmation and automatically enter the draw of the prizes of the respective week.
